I have over a dozen years as a "faculty" member for three universities with no benefits, no serious title & considered very disposable. However... I just plain went out and started up my own company. This is my fifth business and I have managed to begin all but one without funding. I would be happy to discuss what you are doing and be a sounding board for you. I have always told my students that the only real difference between people who "don't" and people who "do" is that people who do simply get out and do whatever it takes.
