UP partners with Harvard Law School program to provide worklife resources

United Professionals is excited to announce a new partnership with Harvard Law School’s Labor and Worklife Program to offer an online resource of labor and employment statistics and advice. After completing the WorklifeWizard survey on worklife in the United States, users may seek advice from Harvard-trained experts and are entered into a drawing for a safari to Africa or an Amazon.com gift certificate. Regarding the new partnership, Elaine Bernard, Executive Director of the Labor and Worklife Program, commented, “As Barbara Ehrenreich has become a voice and champion for working Americans everywhere, we at the Labor and Worklife Program see UP as a smart and effective model for addressing the challenges today’s white collar workers are facing…”

Furthermore, the WorklifeWizard offers a salary checker that enables users to compare themselves and others in their field. UP members will receive WorklifeWizard reports in the members’ only section of the website before they are released to the general public. Furthermore, UP and Worklife Wizard are also expanding their relationship to offer more benefits to members. UP members will be able to access these benefits through the “members only” section on the UP website.

Professor Richard Freeman, the Herbert Ascherman Chair in Economics at Harvard University and WorklifeWizard research director commented, “Harvard’s Labor and Worklife Program WorklifeWizard is designed to help American workers. When UP members have questions about issues such as discrimination, training, negotiating a raise, or switching careers, they can ask our team of experts. We want to know about their worklives as well, so we tell the country what worklife is like in America and help make those lives better.”
